The Southern Alberta MedicAir Society will be hosting our annual Thanks For Giving Event Dinner and Auction on Thursday October 13th 2011 at the Cypress Centre in Medicine Hat and all funds raised will help support the on-going operation of H.A.L.O., the only regional dedicated rescue helicopter service. Over three hundred people attend this event and make it an enjoyable evening in support of a great cause.
In operation since July 2007, H.A.L.O. is the only dedicated medical rescue helicopter which can respond within a reasonable timeframe to emergency situations in south eastern Alberta. The availability of a rescue helicopter decreases the response time to a trauma victim, brings EMS personnel directly to the scene and transports the patient from remote or inaccessible areas.
H.A.L.O. exists because there was no such rescue helicopter available to this region. Although S.T.A.R.S. provides emergency service to much of Alberta, it cannot respond in a timely manner to most areas of south eastern Alberta due to time and fuel constraints. H.A.L.O. operates in support of existing ground ambulance services and is dispatched by 911 based on strict medical and rescue protocols. Our annual operating budget is approximately $850,000.00 and the on-going operation of H.A.L.O. is totally dependent on financial support from corporate private sector and the caring public.
Listed below are corporate sponsorship options to support of the 2011 MedicAir Thanks for Giving Dinner and Auction. GOLD SPONSOR: $3,000.00This includes eight (8) complimentary tickets to this dinner, signage at the event, a half page ad in the Official Program and verbal mentions during the evening.
SILVER SPONSOR: $2,000.00This includes four (4) complimentary tickets to this dinner, signage at the event, a quarter page ad in the Official Program and verbal mentions during the evening.
BRONZE SOPONSOR: $1,000.00This includes two (2) complimentary tickets to this dinner, name on a display and name in the Official Program and verbal mentions during the evening.
DONATION OF LIVE & SILENT AUCTION ITEMS:
Our live and silent auction has included a wide variety of items such as travel packages, jewelry, furniture, equipment rentals, accommodation, meals and spa packages and much, much more. It is the generous donations from businesses and individuals that help make this annual event a success.
Please note that any donated goods and services are eligible for a tax receipt based on the fair market value of the item donated and cash donations also receive a tax deductible receipt.
Attending this event is a way to entertain clients, socialize with friends and bid on many great live and silent auction items, all in support of this great cause. Individual tickets are available at a cost of $75.00 each and are eligible for a $40.00 tax deductible receipt. Tables for eight guests can purchased in advance at the reduced price of $560.00 per table.
